The Indian stock market closed
lower after PM Modi announced an unprecedented ban on high-denomination bank
notes to curb black money. The recovery in the markets was led by shares of
pharma majors with significant exports to the US. The
domestic market crashed on opening with Nifty slumped to near 8,000
levels. Sentiment also remained subdued due to uncertainty sparked by the
country's move to withdraw larger bank notes from circulation. The domestic market pared losses and hit intraday high
in mid-afternoon trade after Republican Donald Trump was declared as the 45th President of
the US. Nifty recovered after hitting its lowest intraday level in 4.5 months.
Heavy selling pressure was witnessed in realty,
IT, auto, basic materials, FMCG, technology, consumer durables and finance
stocks, while pharma, banking and oil & gas stocks were among the gainers.
Nifty closed with a loss of 112 points at 8,432.
Nifty opened at 8,068, hitting a high of 8,476 and low of 8,002. Midcap and Smallcap indices ended down 2%-2.7% each.
The India VIX index was down 0.89% at 16.6200.
The rupee was trading marginally up by 13 paise at 66.48 per US dollar.
Nifty open gap down on Wednesday and
shown choppy movement over the full trading hour’s .nifty made a low of near 8000 today and shown recovery
from its intraday level and recover almost 400-450 point and closed at the
8462.70. above the level of 8550 bull trend will be seen in nifty future.
downside targets for nifty would be 7900-8000.

Bank nifty open gap down today and
showing range bound movement over the full market hour’s. Bank nifty
on technical chart have support of 19000, below that level next level
for bank nifty would be 18400-18600. Above the level of 19500 upside movement
can be seen. SBIN BANK (+2.99%) and KOTAK
MAHINDRA BANK (+1.97%) is the top
gainers of the day.
Bank nifty Open gap down at
18325.00, to its previous closing 19561.30 on Wednesday and touched high of
19632.00. bank nifty have support of 19000,if bank nifty not sustain at that
level ,next level of bank nifty would be 18700-18500.On the other hand above
19600 ,new level for Bank nifty would be 19800-20000.
USDINR
The Indian rupee
slipped in the early trade on Wednesday. It has opened lower by 18 paise at
66.80 per dollar versus previous close 66.62. USDINR Nov futures opened
slightly down with gap below short term rising trend line support and
consolidated for half of the session in the range of 66.88 prices
fell below the range and continued to fall f or the remaining session and
made a low of 66.80. Prices are expected to fall further from this level
towards next strong supports placed at 66.70 and 66.40 levels.
Strong resistances are placed at 66.90 and 67.10 levels.

The Nikkei 225 is down 5.36% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng is off 2.16% and
