CHART  INTERPRETATION

The Nifty took support near  the cluster of support placed around 9060-9070 region as it is the upper band of bullish gap area formed on March 14, 2017 post state election results (9060) and 80% retracement of the last rising segment placed around 9070. Going forward, we expect the index to trade with a positive bias and a decisive close above 9310 will add fuel to the ongoing momentum and open further upsides towards 9450 over the short term as it is the value of the trend line joining 2016 yearly high and March 2017 peak of 9218. Among oscillators, the 14 period RSI is exhibiting a negative divergence as it has formed lower high against higher high on price front. This may keep the index vulnerable to bouts of profit taking at higher levels

On the global front, the S&P 500 ended flat on Monday after briefly touching a record high, while Wall Street's "fear gauge" dropped to its lowest in over two decades following centrist Emmanuel Macron's victory in the French presidential election.

The CBOE Volatility index dropped 7.6 percent to 9.77, its lowest since 1993 as investors took comfort from Macron's victory, as well as from strong quarterly reports in recent weeks.

A declining VIX typically indicates a bullish outlook for stocks, but the extreme lows the index has touched are sounding caution for some stock investors.

Asian equities were mostly muted after soaring in the previous trading session with investors focused on key regional events unfolding in the day, including a presidential election in South Korea and the release of the Australian federal budget.

Gold inched up early on Tuesday as Asian stocks eased, but was sitting near a seven-week low hit in the previous session as Emmanuel Macron's victory in French elections dampened the safe-haven appeal of the metal.

Meanwhile, following a successful IPO issue, S Chand and Company will be listing itself on the exchanges later in the day.

The IPO saw solid investor demand after it was oversubscribed 59.28 times at the close of its bidding hours.

Meanwhile, Asian shares traded mostly higher on Monday following the landslide victory of Emmanuel Macron in the French polls on Sunday, with the Nikkei share average hitting its highest level since December 2015.

Macron defeated far-right candidate Marine Le Pen in the French presidential election, with the French interior ministry stating that the former had secured 65.1 percent of the vote. Macron, who is 39 years old, will become France's youngest president.

Market reaction was muted following the results of the French presidential vote, said National Australia Bank Head of FX Strategy Ray Attrill in a Monday morning note, although the euro/dollar bounced significantly.

The Nifty opened on a flat note on the back of mixed global cues but manage to capitalise on the same. The index then gradually moving upward after taking support at 9180 as the session progressed. In the coming session, it would be crucial for the Nifty to hold the gap area (9250) and strengthen above the previous session’s high of 9225 to open up any positive options. Failure to do so, will lead to continuance of the profit booking trend.

The Nifty has taken a support at trendline which was placed near 9185 zone signalled a strength for uptrend and key overhead hurdle placed around 9250 region. The Nifty has given proper follow up after respected the trendline last week which was placed at 9020 and witnessed a rebound from there. We believe 9250 will remain a crucial overhead hurdle for the index .If Nifty is unable to sustain above 9180 then level on upside is between the 9270-9300. 9180-9170 is the next resistance zone for Nifty future.
