NIFTY OPENS ABOVE 9400,SENSEX HIGHER | TODAY NIFTY TREND UPDATE 12 MAY 2017.

Equity benchmarks started off last day of the week on flat note with a positive bias as investors awaited more corporate earnings after digesting good monsoon forecast.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 45.86 points at 30,296.84 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 14.30 points to 9,436.70.

Infosys, SBI, Tata Motors, HUL, M&M, Bank of Baroda and Kotak Mahindra Bank were early gainers while TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Infratel and Indiabulls Housing were losers.

The Indian rupee opened higher by 5 paise at 64.33 per dollar versus previous close of 64.38.

Ashutosh Raina of HDFC Bank expects the rupee to continue trading in 64.20-64.70/dollar range, with a weakening bias.

The dollar fell while treasury yields reversed earlier declines, as political uncertainty in the United States sent investors in search of safer investments like gold and the Japanese yen. The dollar fell half a percent versus the yen.

Markets in Asia were mostly weaker, with the Japan's down 0.7 percent, following weak earnings from US retailer Macy's and ahead of the G7 finance meeting in Italy.

MONDAY COULD BE A MAKE OR BREAK FOR NIFTY; TODAY STOCK UPDATE 14 APRIL 2017.

After days of the sideways movement, Nifty gave first sign of feebleness after it closed below the three-digit Gann number of 9,160 for the first time since 29th March 2017.
However, a confirmation of a close below the same is required to ensure a change in orbit towards 9,010. Meanwhile, Bank Nifty is acting like a lone warrior after posting a weekly rally of 1.1 percent as it continues to trade above the four-digit Gann support of 21,400.
Recent out performance of Bank Nifty has restricted the decline in the markets. It certainly holds the key in deciding the next leg of the journey of the index.
Post the five weeks of consolidation at the top and lack of momentum to carry the index past 9,300 suggests that market is missing the much-required ammunition.
By the end of Monday’s session, the index will give a clear signal whether the markets are sustaining at current levels or not.

SENSEX TRIMS EARLY GAINS, NIFTY AROUND 8950 | TODAY SHARE MARKET REPORT UPDATE 10 MARCH 2017 .

SHARE MARKET REPORT

Investors cheered the results of UP exit poll as the Sensex gained more than 100 points and the Nifty is eyeing 9000 level. The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 127.50 points at 29,056.63 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 43.05 points to 8970.05. About 711 shares advanced against 190 declining shares on the BSE. Adani Ports, Hero Motocorp, ICICI Bank, Larsen and Toubro, GAIL, Tech Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bank of Baroda and Tata Motors (DVR) were early gainers while ONGC was under pressure. After the high-intensity battle for over two months, exit polls released on Thursday have predicted BJP cruising through in Uttar Pradesh; AAP in pole position in Punjab, but it has a wafer-thin lead over the Congress. BJP is seen snatching the rule from Congress in Uttarakhand. In Goa, BJP is likely to come up trumps with debutant AAP trailing behind. Congress is marginally ahead in Manipur and may win the state election for third time in a row The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 66.69 per dollar against previous close of 66.71. Ashutosh Raina of HDFC Bank said, "In the run up to the March FOMC next week, the probability of Fed hiking rates has gone up substantially. While the rupee continues to gain on the back of sustained portfolio inflows, depreciation is likely as the dollar continues to gain." "We expect the USD-INR pair to trade in a range of 66.60-66.90/dollar today," he added. The dollar firmed to six-week highs against the yen and looked set for a modest weekly gain as investors awaited US job data later in the day that is expected to reinforce expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike next week.

The rupee however is resilient on the back of FII flows into Indian equity markets." He expects the USD-INR pair to trade in a range of 66.70-67/dollar for the day. The dollar held gains as a stronger-than-expected US private-sector jobs figures in February sealed expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next week. The ADP national employment report showed that private payrolls grew the most since December 2015. Traders now price in an 85.2-percent chance of a Fed rate hike next week. Asian equities were a mixed picture, as traders digest China's February inflation data and track crude oil prices.
