A
day after global and domestic cues heavily dented investors' sentiments, the
Indian stock market ended with handsome gains on Thursday amid positive global
cues.
Finally, a late bout of buying across metal,
banking, power, realty, pharma, telecom and utilities stocks lifted the
benchmark although the auto and IT counters continued to trade soft. Nifty
closed with a gain of 87 points at 8,519. It opened at 8,556, hitting a high of
8,598 and low of 8,511. Market sentiment
also got a boost after global investors turned hopeful about generous tax cuts
and higher infrastructure and defence spending in the US following Donald Trump's
victory. The India VIX (Volatility) index
was down 6.99% at 15.4575. Out of 1,401 stocks traded on the NSE, 253 declined
and 1,124 advanced today. The rupee was
trading up by 13 paise at 66.56 per US dollar.
Nifty open gap up on Thursday and
shown choppy movement over the full trading hour’s .nifty trade again
above the 8500 today and shown recovery .above the level of 8550 bull trend
will be seen in nifty future. Down side targets for nifty would be 7900-8000,
if its break the level of 8380.

Bank nifty open gap up today and
showing range bound movement over the full market hour’s. Bank nifty
on technical chart have support of 19000, below that level next level
for bank nifty would be 18400-18600. Above the level of 19500 upside movement
can be seen. BANK OF BARODA (+9.13%) and SBIN BANK (+8.19%) is the top gainers of the day.
Bank nifty Open gap up at 19860.00,
to its previous closing 19583.50 on Thursday and touched high of 20315.00. bank
nifty have support of 19000,if bank nifty not sustain at that level ,next level
of bank nifty would be 18700-18500.On the other hand above 19600 ,new level for
Bank nifty would be 20000-20500.

The
Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 66.49 per dollar on Thursday versus
previous close 66.43. Trump presidency has triggered volatility in global
equity, bond and currency markets. Dollar after initial sell-off rebounded well
against major currencies. Market has swung from risk-off to risk-on sentiment.
Rupee is expected to gain marginally today on the back of positive equity
markets. The US dollar rose broadly against its major rivals post trump's
victory. The Mexican Peso plunged to record lows on Wednesday, losing 7.8
percent to trade at 19.79 to the dollar.
