The Sensex, Nifty closed flat after paring all of their intraday gains in
the last hour of trade dragged lower by a sell-off in oil and gas companies on
Wednesday and ahead of the expiry of futures and options contracts of the
December series due tomorrow. Weak global cues and a weak rupee dampened the
sentiment.
Today, the Union Cabinet approved
the Ordinance on deadline to deposit old notes. Sensex ended with a
mere loss of three points at 26,211. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap closed in the
range of 0.5%- 0.8%. Nifty closed with a marginal gain of two points at
8,035. The NSE Nifty opened at 8,048 hitting a high of 8,101 and low of 8,028.
The India VIX (Volatility) index was up 3.04% at 15.54. Out of 1,396 stocks traded on the NSE, 470 declined and 857 advanced today. Heavy selling pressure was witnessed in banking, auto, oil & gas, energy and metal stocks, while realty, FMCG, pharma, telecom and IT stocks were among the gainers. The rupee was trading down 14 paise at 68.20 per US dollar.

Nifty open Flat on Wednesday and
shown Range bound trend over the full trading hour’s. Nifty closed above the 8030 today. 8000 -7900 is the support of
nifty if its break that level down side pressure will be seen. Above 8150 new
level of nifty would be 8230-8350.

Bank nifty open up today and showing consolidated movement, over the full trading hour’s. Bank
nifty closed below 18000 again . next support for bank nifty would be in
between the level of 17400-17600. It can be the reversal point for bank nifty. YES
BANK (-1.33%) and ICICI BANK (-0.71%) is the top
losers of the day.
Bank nifty Open Up at 17925.00,
to its previous closing 17879.25 on Wednesday and touched high of 18058.95. Today’s
bank nifty made a low of 17864.40. 17400-17600 is the next support of the bank
nifty. As we expect that bank nifty
should take support at that level. and next level of bank nifty would be
17800-18000.

The Indian rupee opened
marginally lower at 68.10 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close
68.07. Rupee will continue to trade negative with low volatility due to an
appreciating dollar. Trading range for the spot USD/INR pair would be
68-68.20/dollar. The US dollar gained against the yen on stronger-than-expected
US housing data and expectations for a hawkish Federal Reserve, but remained
below a recent 10-month high in thin holiday trading.
