Nifty closed with a gain of 69 points at 8,104. After opening
with modest gains, indices remained under pressure in the first half. The key
benchmark climbed on the last day of the December series as investors prepared
to close out a volatile year for financial markets. However, as the day
progressed, late bout of buying in the auto, metal and IT stocks lifted the
benchmarks. Short-covering on the back of
futures and options (F&O) expiry and
a rupee appreciation buoyed the Indian equity markets during the mid-afternoon
trade session on Thursday. Besides,
budgetary expectations and value buying enhanced investors' risk-taking
appetite, though negative global cues hampered the upward movement. Sentiments got some support with report that the Cabinet Committee on Economic
Affairs (CCEA) gave approval for over Rs 11,000
crore projects to improve rural road connectivity in the worst-affected
left-wing extremism (LWE) districts from security angle.The India VIX
(Volatility) index was down 1.67% at 15.2825. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap
indices closed up by 1% each. The rupee was
trading up 14 paise at 68.09 per US dollar.
Nifty open Flat on Thursday
and shown Range bound trend over
the full trading hour’s. Nifty closed above
the 8100 today. 8000 -7900 is the
support of nifty if its break that level down side pressure will be seen. Above
8150 new level of nifty would be 8230-8350.

Bank nifty open flat today and showing consolidated movement, over the full trading hour’s. Bank
nifty closed at 18000. Above 18000 next target for bank nifty on chart up to
18300-18500. support for bank nifty would be in between the level of
17400-17600. It can be the reversal point for bank nifty. YES BANK (+3.17%)
and INDUSIND BANK (+2.18%) is the top gainers of the day.
Bank nifty Open Flat at 17870.00, to its previous closing 17864.40
on Thursday and touched high of 18049.30. Today’s
bank nifty made a low of 17815.20. 17400-17600 is the next support of the bank
nifty. As we expect that bank nifty
should take support at that level. and next level of bank nifty would be 17800-18000.

The Indian rupee opened
flat at 68.24 per dollar on Thursday versus previous close 68.24. Year-end
holidays expected to keep volumes and activity in currency markets low and
thin. USD-INR expected trading range for the day 68-68.30/dollar. The Japanese
yen strengthened against the dollar, meanwhile the dollar index is firm above
103 mark, remember it has gained 4.7 percent this year. All those gains have
come after the November 8 US election.
