After a sharp
run in previous session, equity benchmarks paused for breath Wednesday, with
the Global markets too were volatile ahead of ECB policy meet on Thursday. The Indian stock market ended lower in
a volatile trading session on Wednesday, taking a breather after Tuesday’s
surge. The stock market swung between
gains and losses due to profit-booking by funds and investors amid weak
European cues. After opening with a positive bias, indices failed to carry
forward the momentum. Nifty closed with a
loss of 19 points at 8,659. Selling pressure was seen in FMCG, realty,
banking, auto, finance and capital goods stocks, while power, utilities,
telecom, pharma, energy and oil & gas stocks
ended in green on the BSE. Investors kept
an eye on the ongoing government meet on the goods and services tax (GST) for
clarity on new rates. The India VIX
(Volatility) index gained by 0.51% to 14.6125. The rupee was
trading up four paise at 66.68 per US dollar.
Nifty open gap up on Wednesday and
shown choppy movement over the
full trading hour’s .nifty trade above the level of 8630. Nifty next support would be 8480-8450.Traders
can go short on a break below 8500. Range bound movement may be seen in Nifty ,if its maintain the
level of 8700 so, up sided movement would be up to 9050-9150.

Bank nifty open up today and showing range bound movement over
the full market hour’s. Bank nifty on technical chart have support of 19000,
below that level next level for bank nifty would be 18400-18600. Above the
level of 19500 upside movement can be seen. ICICI BANK (-1.96%) and SBI BANK (-0.58%) is the top losers of the day.
Bank nifty Open up at 19570.00, to its previous closing 19523.65 on
Wednesday and touched high of 19570.10. bank nifty have support of 19000,if
bank nifty not sustain at that level ,next level of bank nifty would be
18700-18500.On the other hand above 19800 ,new level for Bank nifty would be
20000-20250.
USDINR
The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 66.68 per
dollar on Wednesday against previous close 66.72. Rupee to trade with positive
bias following positive sentiment in domestic equity market. The USD-INR pair
will trade in a range of 66.50-66.80/dollar. The US dollar was mixed as
investors took some profits from the greenback's recent strength and evaluated
whether the Federal Reserve is likely to raise interest rates later this year.
