After taking a major support at 7900 levels in the last week,
Nifty posted gains for the second consecutive week, though marginal. Nifty
ended a week with 0.7% gains at 8243 levels. Nifty began with consolidated of
three days, subsequently posted a positive day driven by short covering in the
banks but retreated at the end of the day dragged by IT majors. All in all the
week ended on a volatile note. During the week, Banks reduced their interest rates as much as
0.9% to bring revival in the economy which went in doldrums after
demonetization. With this, in the medium run banks may suffer from
profitability but contrarily lead to profitability of least debt ridden
companies. Realty sector too buoyed when banks cut interest rates and
government’s push towards affordable housing. IT sector dragged the benchmarks
at the second half of the week, thanks to the newly elected president Donald
Trump, under whose reign, US reintroduced H1-B visa programme. Going forward
Nifty has recently broke out of its 100 and 200 days EMA levels and may resist
at 8320 followed by 8447 levels in the medium term. On the downside, we may see
Nifty taking support at 8100 followed by 7900.
Today, Nifty open with a gap up of 17.25 points
at 8305.55 to its previous closing at 8288.20.Nifty continued its bullish trend
till 11:00 and then settle down with a consolidated movement. On daily chart,
nifty can touch the level of 8350-8400.Whereas, if nifty unable to sustain above
8150then further selling pressure can be seen. Next support for nifty is lying
at 7900.Nifty can be range bound between 7900-8200.

Bank nifty open gap up today and followed the bullish trend at 10:30 in the
morning session after that range bound movement seen in bank nifty till
closing. Its closed above the 18200, above that level new level for bank nifty
would be 18600-18800 come soon. YES BANK and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK is the gainers
of the day +3.02 and +2.56 Respectively.

nifty open gap up almost 52 point at 18168.45 to its previous closing at
18115.95 on Friday. Major support of bank nifty seen at 17600 on daily time
frame. Its closed above 18200 on Friday session. Bank nifty may be touch the
new high at the level of 18600-18800 soon. Above 18200 bullish trend might be
follow by bank nifty, trader can keep
eye on its support & consolidation phase between the 18100-18175. Below
that support short position might be seen. up side target would be 18600 to
18800 with sl of 18100.

The Indian rupee has
strengthened further in early trade Friday. It has opened at 67.85 a dollar, up
11 paise compared with 67.96 a dollar in previous session. economic data
released in the US was better than expected but the Dollar index is still
subdued. The effect will be felt in emerging market currencies including the
USD-INR pair. The dollar retreated to the 101 handle against a basket of
currencies, from levels above 103.60 reached earlier in the week.
