The Indian stock market closed down for the second straight
day, dragged lower by financial stocks such as Axis Bank after the lender
reported a quarterly profit slump and on the back of muted second quarter
earnings by some companies. Besides banks, Tata Group stocks extended their
fall after the abrupt ouster of Chairman
Cyrus Mistry on Monday, lower global crude oil prices and dampened
sentiment ahead of the October
month F&O expiry on Thursday. Nifty closed with a loss
of 76 points at 8,615. The NSE Nifty opened at 8,657 hitting a high of 8,657.30
and low of 8,597. On the economy front, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed disappointment at
India's rank remaining low on the ease of doing business front. The India VIX
(Volatility) index was down 0.20% at 14.4525. The rupee was trading up one
paise at 66.82 per US dollar. Axis Bank tanked 8% to Rs 486 on the BSE. The
bank has posted a net profit of Rs 319 crore for the quarter ended September
30, 2016 as compared to Rs 1915.6 crore for the quarter ended September 30,
2015.
Nifty open gap down on Wednesday and
shown choppy movement over the
full trading hour’s .nifty trade below the level of 8630. Nifty next support would be 8480-8450.Traders
can go short on a break below 8500. Range bound movement may be seen in Nifty ,if its maintain the
level of 8700 so, up sided movement would be up to 9050-9150.

Bank nifty open gap down today and
showing range bound movement over the full market hour’s. Bank nifty
on technical chart have support of 19000, below that level next level
for bank nifty would be 18400-18600. Above the level of 19500 upside movement
can be seen. ICICI BANK (-3.75%) and AXIS BANK
(-7.85%) is the top losers of the
day.
Bank nifty Open gap down at 19615.55, to its previous closing
19844.85 on Wednesday and touched high of 19674.30. bank nifty have support of 19000,if
bank nifty not sustain at that level ,next level of bank nifty would be
18700-18500.On the other hand above 19800 ,new level for Bank nifty would be
20000-20250.
USDINR
The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 66.80 per
dollar on Wednesday versus 66.82 Tuesday. The rupee fell against the dollar in
afternoon trade and closed at 66.89/dollar. The rupee will take cues from
equity markets and trade between 66.65-67.10/dollar. The dollar hit its highest
level in nearly eight months against the euro and a roughly three-month high
against the yen on growing expectations that the Federal Reserve would raise
interest rates in December, while the offshore yuan hit a record low. Traders
now see 78 percent chance that the Fed would raise rates in December, according
to data from CME group's Fed watch program.
