The Nifty opened on a strong note to hit new life-time high of 9218 in the opening session led by ITC after the GST council on Thursday cleared a proposal to cap the cess on tobacco and cigarettes. However, the index failed to hold opening gains amid profit booing among heavyweights from banking, capital goods and auto space. After surrendering the initial gains, the index consolidated in a narrow range between 9147 and 9175 before settling at 9160. The FMCG index was the major gainer, up 2.41% mainly led by heavyweight ITC, followed by IT and realty indices, which gained ~0.71% each.The Nifty maintained its rising trajectory and hit a fresh all-time high of 9219 on Friday while the Sensex is still 200 points shy of its 2015 life high of 30024. As per confirmation principle of Dow Theory we await Sensex to hit fresh life-time high to conclude breakout from the two year range. The Nifty has behaved in line with our expectations as the strong breakout above the previous two week’s consolidation range (8860 to 8990) has opened the room for extension of the current up move towards 9250 in the near term. 

On Weekly chart, nifty breaked the level of 9119 but unable to sustain above that level then further selling pressure was seen. Support for nifty seen on daily time frame at 9130 ,if nifty not able to retain that level downside level is between the 9070-9010, 9130 is the next support for nifty.

Bank nifty open positive and shown downside movement over the full trading hour’s.  Its closed below 21300 , Below 21200 level, new level for bank nifty would be 21000-20900  come soon. BANK OF BARODA is the losser of the day amongst banking stocks.

Bank nifty open at 21678.50 to its previous closing at 21310 on Friday. Major support of bank nifty seen at 20900 and then 20550. On daily time frame. ts closed at 21234 on Friday session. Below 20900 short term bearish trend might be follow by bank nifty, trader  can keep eye on its support & consolidation phase between the 20900-20600. Below that support short position might be seen.

The Indian rupee pared its initial gains, while holding its 16-months highs by 28 paise to 65.41 in late morning deals, on the back of continued unwinding of dollars from banks and exporters amid heavy foreign capital inflows and strong equities.Earlier, the rupee resumed higher at 65.40 as against yesterday's closing level of 65.69. Later, it strengthened sharply to 65.21 before trading at 65.41 at 1020 hours.

Asian markets traded sideways on Friday, following a flat to lower close on Wall Street, in a light regional data day. China's Shanghai composite fell 0.98 percent or 31.6 points to close at 3,237.31 and the Shenzhen composite slipped 0.81 percent or 16.6 points at 2,029.73. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was positive buy 21.65 points.
