The Nifty opened on a positive note on the back of mixed global cues and traded with a positive note between the narrow range of around 40 points between 9100 and 9140 levels throughout the session before finally closing at 9118 levels. Sectorally, the banking index was the clear leader on Friday rallying 1.23% while the IT space remained under profit booking pressure, down 0.81%.
Equity benchmarks settled higher for second consecutive session amid broader consolidation while PSU banking space hogged the limelight, on reports that the Finance Minister has promised to offer a solution to the growing NPS crisis in next few days.
The Nifty has respected the short term trenadline support and the bullish gap area formed post state election results and witnessed a rebound from close to its immediate support area of 9000 zone. We believe 9250 will remain a crucial overhead hurdle for the index as it is the confluence of upper band of rising channel in place since February 2017 and the 123.6% reciprocal retracement of the entire decline from September to December 2016 decline placed around at 9225 region If Nifty is unable to sustain above 9160-9170 then level on downside is between the 8970-8899, 9100 is the next support for Nifty future.

Bank of Baroda and ICICI Bank are among the top gainer of the day.Bank Nifty settled higher for second consecutive session amid broader consolidation while PSU banking space hogged the limelight, on reports that the Finance Minister has promised to offer a solution to the growing NPS crisis in next few days.
YES Bank was up nearly 0.57% at 1527, after the private sector lender announced that its qualified institutional placement (QIP) offer has opened on Thursday.Shares of public sector undertakings (PSU) were in focus with the Nifty PSU Bank index gaining more than 2% as reports suggested that the Finance Minister has promised to offer a solution to the growing nonperforming assets (NPA) crisis in next few days.
Bank nifty open at 20989.75 to its previous closing at 20952 on Friday. Major support of bank nifty seen at 20900 which is supported in last trading day. Below 20900 short term bearish trend might be follow by bank nifty. Trader can keep eye on its resistance. Closing above 21220 mat open scope for new high in banknifty.

The Indian Rupee appreciate against the Dollar, as greenback demand from crude oil and other importers outweighed early gains triggered by strong local shares. The Rupee settled at 65.4050 from 65.5650 at previous close. It rose to day’s high of 65.54, before falling to 65.3775. RBI said that India’s current account deficit in October-December widened to $7.9 billion, or 1.4% of GDP, in the 3rd quarter of this fiscal that ends Mar. Resistance is at 65.62 and support is at 65.425 mark.
